If it Needs to Be Small and Delicate!

Product description
POLY 60 is a thin, very fine polyester thread with the same excellent properties as Poly 40. The thread is particularly suitable for small fonts, increasing legibility significantly, and for intricate details. The results are razor-sharp letters, finely curved lines and accurate contours.

Note:
The dye lots are continuously numbered by us and marked by a stamp on our cartons. Please take care that you always process embroidery threads of the same dye lot for one embroidery order.

POLY 60 - 100% Polyester

POLY is boil, light and chlorine fast. However, we recommend to observe the following care instructions.

Washing
While chlorine or other optial brighteners will not cause discoloration they will however affect the yarn fiber. We therefore recommend all embroidered articles to be washed with mild detergents. If washed by hand, ample water should be used to allow the goods to move freely. Bot of the above apply in particular to embroidered items that are washed for the first time. It is most important to thoroughly rinse the embroidery before wringing or dry spinning. Embroidered clothing should never be left lying in a damp or wet pile.

Dry cleaning – stain removal
POLY may be dry cleaned.
The stain removers should not contain any bleaching agents or colour removers if they come into direct contact with the embroidery. It is necessary to rinse the embroidery after stain removal.

Ironing
All the embroideries shall be ironed on the reverse side or in-between two cloths.

POLY 60 - 100% Polyester

  • Poly 60 can also be used as bobbin thread if colour matching the upper thread is important (towels, scarves, etc.).
  • To achieve best embroidery results with this thread, use a thinner needle, size 60/8!
  • Letterings and designs with very little details will have a neater, more readable, and quieter type face when thread count 60 is used.

Tip:
Avoid short stitches on small fonts and details.

Embroidery designs of 4 mm lettering size and punched for thread count 40 will show an excellent embroidery quality with thread count 60 and needle count 60. It is also possible to achieve an increase in quality with existing embroidery programs – even without changing the stitch density or similar!

Embroidery designs of 3 mm lettering size and punched for thread count 60 may only be embroidered with thread count 60 and needle count 60!

Poly 60 Abstickungen

The rule of thumb is:
  • Lettering sizes of over 4 mm can be embroidered using thread count 40 and needle count 75 - needle count 60 may improve the quality – however:
  • 4 mm lettering sizes are embroidered in a definitely nicer way using thread count 60 and needle count 60 – when using the embroidery program in thread count 40.
  • 3 mm lettering sizes must be embroidered using thread count 60 and needle count 60! The embroidery program needs to be punched especially for thread count 60.
  • Lettering sizes of less than 3 mm can hardly be done anyway.
