Product description
Beautiful embroideries without stabilizing? That’s impossible – THERMOFILM, however, is a stabilizer that disappears after embroidering. Embellishments on lady’s outerwear, children’s wear and fine baby wear should have an extremely smooth finish. And if both sides of finished patterns are visible, stabilizer residues should not be seen. THERMOFILM is a heat-removable film that can easily be torn away after embroidery. Small residues can completely be removed with an iron. You’ll have flawless embroideries that look great on both sides. Ideal for smooth fabrics!
Main Applications:
- For delicate fabrics that are worn against the skin where extremely soft embroidery results want to be achieved.
- In cases where both sides of an embroidery are visible and stabilizer residues are unwanted

THERMOFILM - thermoplastic film
- Back your base fabric with THERMOFILM - with the rough side facing the fabric – and hoop.
- After completion of the embroidery tear away the excess THERMOFILM.
- Remove film residues from the embroidery with an iron (no steam!). Iron in circular motion. The film will melt into tiny balls that can simply be shaken off or brushed away.
- Use an iron only, never a heat press! The circular ironing motion is decisive for the disintegration of THERMOFILM – it prevents residues from sticking to the iron’s surface!
Note:
The smoother the fabric surface, the easier THERMOFILM can be removed. It’s ideal for jersey, shirt and blouse fabrics, silk and denim.
It’s not suitable for fibrous or highpile materials as the film residues will stick to the loops during the ironing process. Use SOLVY or SOLVY FILM 80 for these fabric types!
